Classics stand for all time;

With a commitment to time and a passion for perfection,

CYMA and City Chain move in perfect synchronicity.

Unerring in their dedication to precision watchmaking,

the brands continue to innovate along their journey to deliver timepieces to
treasure, movements to cherish and moments to hold forever.

Since being set in motion in 1985, City Chain has revolutionised the traditional retail concept of watches in Hong Kong. With a commitment to customer-centric service, its mission has been to help enhance the standing of global watch
brands, while presenting consumers with more high-quality choices and satisfying experiences.

Amid shifting market demands, City Chain has always hewed to its motto of “Onwards, as always” to consistently introduce innovative retail concepts, diversify quality product offerings, and grow its business across Asia, thus firmly establishing its leading position in the industry.

To mark this 40-year milestone of watchmaking passion, CYMA has created the Grand Maestro THE CHESS City Chain 40th Anniversary Limited Edition. Inspired by the strategy and elegance of chess and born of master Swiss craftsmanship, the exquisite, meticulous design captures the discipline of timing and the art of decisive moves.

The 43.5mm stainless steel case features retro-style chronograph pushers and is paired with a two-tier bezel echoing the form of chess pieces. Grand in its overall simplicity yet rich in its considered details. The sapphire crystal and silver-white, vertically brushed dial are accented by rose gold-tone hands and hour markers. All displayed details are coated with Super LumiNova for clarity in any light. The caseback bears an exclusive anniversary engraving and the City Chain motto, “Onwards, as always,” to honour its enduring vision.

The watch is powered by an ETA 7751 automatic mechanical chronograph movement that beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and boasts a 48-hour power reserve. Three sub-dials in a midnight blue hue offer a harmonious blend of layers. At 12 o’clock, a 30-minute counter displays the day of the week and month, with a red-accented hand clearly displaying the date. At 9 o’clock, a small second hand and 24-hour display provide dual time zone control. At 6 o’clock, a 12-hour counter displays the moon phases, ingeniously incorporating the lunar cycle into an aperture.

A timepiece that reflects forty years of progress. And the precision to act when the moment matters.
